Opt-Out(side) Park Beautification Day

Join us on the busiest shopping day of the year to instead reflect on the value of time spent in nature and the impact that it has on our personal well-being. This gratitude focused opportunity will have us giving a little back to the outdoors through tasks such as tree planting and maintenance (mulching/pruning); waterway cleanup of our many park streams; invasive species removal along the pond trail; and learning about Leave No Trace principles to become better environmental stewards

To ensure safety and comfort throughout the day, attendees should wear comfortable shoes for grassy, uneven terrain. Prepare for sun exposure and bugs (sunscreen and bug spray provided). A portable toilet is available onsite. And finally, feel free to bring your own water bottle to cut down on plastic waste!
