Parks for Pollinators BioBlitz

Join us for a fun and educational BioBlitz event to learn what pollinators live and traverse our community and if our parks have the habitat they need to thrive. Help us collect biodiversity data in the iNaturalist app by observing pollinators and plants you find in the community throughout the month of September in the Antioch area or join us for an on-site “Final Blitz” event at Mill Ridge Park on September 30th, where we will hike and collect observations together as a community!

There are two sessions for the event: 10AM-12PM for the 2-mile hike, with views of prickly pear patches, wildflowers, and the cedar glade or 5PM-6PM for the 0.25-mile pond stroll, which will have us observing plants and insects that are more reliant on the water source that the pond provides.

Snacks, supplies, and educational material provided. Learn more or sign up for the Final Blitz by emailing caleb@southeastpark.org. #Parks4Pollinators
