Wild Wanderers: Birding for Big Bird

Join us on Wednesday, March 19th at 11:00AM with your kids (all ages welcome) to take an easy guided walk around Mill Ridge Park. As we walk, we’ll read aloud from a children’s nature-themed book and check out the birds and other wildlife around the park in honor of Big Bird’s birthday on March 20th . We will bring our binoculars and bird guides as we wander. After the walk, we will do some arts and crafts, including constructing our own walking stick!

Meet at the Friends’ House, marked by three yellow flags, at 12965 Old Hickory Blvd, Antioch, 37013. Park in the grass lot along the gravel driveway near the Friends House. Wear shoes suitable for uneven terrain. Snacks, sunscreen, and bug repellent will be provided. A portable toilet is available onsite.
