Join us each week to work on a variety of farm related seasonal tasks at Mill Ridge Park to include: planting, weeding, and mulching of the community orchard, gardens, and pumpkin patch; park beautification, farmhouse repairs, etc. Accessing gardens may entail walking in tall grass. Dress for appropriate weather conditions and uneven brushy terrain. Gloves, equipment, and refreshments will be provided onsite.

  • HELPING HAND HIKE variety of times offered:

    Sunday, March 30, 12-2 pm

    Monday, April 7, 1-3 pm

    Friday, April 11, 10-12

    Monday, April 21, 2-4

    Thur, April 24, 10-12

Help us expand and improve the trail system at Mill Ridge Park! Volunteers will cover up to 3 miles while creating and improving primitive trails at Mill Ridge Park. Activities involve hiking, bending, lifting, and the use of hand tools, and include: planning, measuring, mapping, and marking primitive trails; picking up and removing litter and debris from the trails; performing brushing activities with loppers, pruners, and weed wrenches; and moving downed trees and branches from trail to maintain proper corridor and prevent shortcutting.

Volunteers for this activity should dress for weather conditions. Parts of the trail system could be muddy and/or wet. We recommend pants and shoes with adequate tread suitable for outdoor activity on rough, uneven terrain.

  • KITE FEST offers a variety of shifts on April 12, April 19, April 26, May 3

Enjoy watching our lawn and ridgeline fill with colorful kites this fall at Mill Ridge Park's Bi-Annual Kite Fest. Help us welcome park visitors, assemble kites, demonstrate proper kite flying etiquette, and facilitate lawn games.

  • HONEY DO 9AM-11AM | Dates TBA

Help us work on our Honey Do List around the park. Together we will work on seasonal tasks that will beautify the park, such as picking up litter and maintaining trails and gardens.
As we will be outside, volunteers should wear closed toed footwear and dress for all elements.
